14th Annual Germanfest

German-American Society of Tulsa is happy to announce plans for Tulsa’s 14th annual Germanfest! This year’s 3-day festival is scheduled for:

Once again, the festival will take place at the GAST Center, a beautifully restored gothic-style mini-cathedral built in 1929 and located in the heart of Midtown Tulsa, just one block west of Lewis on 15th Street.
This premier German ethnic festival occurs the first week-end in May and celebrates all things German – food, music, dance, family, community, tradition and much more! Admission to the festival is free and parking is free. Germanfest is a family-friendly event that is great fun for all ages – rain or shine!
Festival organizers are certain that there is something for everyone at this year’s event. Hungry festival goers can purchase authentic German foods throughout the day – Brats, Schnitzel, Sauerkraut, Potato Pancakes, Strudel and German beer. Music lovers will enjoy live music performed by great entertainers and dancers can polka to their hearts’ content on the GAST Center’s dance floor. Families with young children will appreciate the activities planned both inside the GAST Center and outside on the lawn. Shoppers will delight at the selection of authentic German food and collectibles that are available for sale.
At Noon on Saturday, May 6th, this year’s May Queen will be crowned followed by performances of authentic German dances.
