What is a Community-Based Member?
Tulsa Global Alliance (TGA) is one of over 90 community organizations known as Community-Based Members that work with Global Ties U.S. to design and implement professional programs, provide cultural activities, and offer home hospitality opportunities for foreign leaders and specialists brought to the US as participants in the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) and other exchange programs. Each year, the aggregate efforts of all 92 of us involve more than 80,000 volunteers. Most of us fundraise locally to support ourselves and the combined efforts have raised $6 for every $1 received in federal grants.
