A Universal GameTulsa and its Sister Cities have long been hosting
exchange opportunities for students, business professionals and residents desiring
cultural visits. Over the years and after many visits back and forth across the
ocean, Tulsa Global Alliance (TGA) has noticed another activity shared by all
Sister Cities - sports. Tulsa has welcomed international
athletes in the past. Since 1982, San Luis Potosi runners have visited Tulsa each
year to participate in the Tulsa run. Local swim teams have traveled to other
countries to train and race in international meets. With the many sporting opportunities
Tulsa has to offer, Tulsa Global Alliance is interested in promoting more sport
exchanges between Tulsa and its Sister Cities. Tulsa's
Attraction Tulsa, Oklahoma is a continually growing
city with an ever-growing sports attraction. Tulsa has many high school, club
and adult athletic programs to offer. From the Professional Golfers' Association
Championship to playing sand volleyball along the Arkansas river, there is something
here for everyone. Marathons, triathlons and bike tours are popular and abundant
in Tulsa, along with just about any other athletic activity you could think of.
It is Tulsa Global Alliance's goal to share this wonderful aspect of Tulsa with
our international visitors. The Tulsa, Oklahoma
Sports Guide lists the countless athletic opportunities Tulsa has to offer and
how to go about participating in them. If you see a sporting event, tournament,
race, bike tour, etc, that is of interest to you or your team, contact Tulsa Global
Alliance and we will assist you in getting registered. If there is a sport or
athletic competition that you do not see in this book that does not mean that
it is not happening in Tulsa! This is a general guide and it is incomplete. If
you are interested in a sport exchange for any sport, contact Tulsa Global Alliance.
