Global Education Partners and Programs

Preparing a future workforce for success in a globally competitive economy involves a mastery of cross cultural and collaborative skill sets. TGA's ongoing commitment to global education is evidenced in both its strong partnerships and solid programs.

TGA incorporates Tulsa's broad network of cultural groups in activities that encourage and promote cultural understanding to area youth. In addition, TGA partners with area K-12 schools, colleges, and supporters to help incorporate global education into ongoing instruction.

Global education is not just about exchange programs or learning a foreign language.
It is also about helping our youth develop skill sets for understanding and appreciating cultural differences and similarities. And it is a lifelong process--regardless of age, income, or location.
TGA is proud to partner with local schools and libraries to provide access to and programming for valuable cultural learning opportunities.  Likewise, TGA works with area colleges as well as the broader community via internships and organizational involvement.

A program of Tulsa Global Alliance in partnership with Eisenhower International School in Tulsa, culture boxes continue to be a great addition to any classroom or organization presentation. Each box contains cultural artifacts, books, musical instruments, fabrics, and other expressions of more than 40 unique countries, regions, and cultures. TGA is grateful to Eisenhower International School, which houses the boxes and coordinates the check-out program.

The Tucky Roger Fellowship provides financial assistance through TGA for teachers and educators throughout the Tulsa Metropolitan Service Area. It supports efforts their efforts to promote global awareness, education, and understanding by visiting Tulsa's Sister Cities and by serving as a resource for TGA, educational institutions, and students.

Through TGA's Global Ed Program "Passport to Global Cultures," events are held throughout the year, so check our Upcoming Events page frequently. For example, our Asian Sister Cities participate in the annual library-sponsored Asia-American Festival, and TGA partners with TCCL to present the always-popular youth program "World in a Box Day."

Area Colleges and Universities

TGA's partnerships with area colleges and universities help enhance the community-wide experience of their foreign exchange students. Activities to showcase Tulsa's culture and people help create future ambassadors of our city when they return. We enjoy very positive interaction with all the area college institutions.

 Partners and Programs

TGA creates opportunities to increase understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity for thousands of Oklahomans through our global education programs and partners. Our educational supporters believe young people should be exposed to opportunities that prepare them for success in what will most certainly be globally connected educational and workforce environments. TGA is proud to partner with local schools, libraries, institutions, and organizations that embrace this philosophy and are committed to developing citizen diplomats.
