Kaohsiung, Taiwan's second largest city, is a major industrial center with an international port ranking as the third largest container port in the world. With a population of 1.5 million, the city is the center of the country's shipbuilding, steel, and petroleum industries. Kaohsiung has enjoyed unprecedented prosperity and development.
The Tulsa & Kaohsiung Sister City Partnership
The Kaohsiung partnership finds unique ways to be active in Tulsa. Recent activities include:

Tulsa Deputy Mayor Michael Junk and Nick Doctor represented Tulsa at the Global Bays and Harbor Cities Forum in Kaohsiung in September 2018.

A Taiwan trade delegation came to Tulsa in November and visited aerospace industries, and were hosted for a reception and dinner by TGA, CCK Strategies, the University of Tulsa, and Cherokee Nation Businesses.

The Partnership participated in the Asian World Experience and the Asian American Festival in June at Martin Regional Library.
