Established in 2002, Zarrow International School serves Tulsa Public Schools elementary students in their Spanish immersion program.  Zarrow is TGA's newest Partner in Education. Their international exchange students become student members of Tulsa Global Alliance.

The Specifics:

  • The boxes can be checked out by any group or organization on a two-week basis.

  • Tulsa Public School classrooms may check out the boxes complimentary. All other users are charged a $15 fee per box to help with box maintenance.

  • The boxes promote critical thinking skills among students, and provide ample learning aids for visual, auditory, and tactile learners.

  • A typical box might include clothing, games, videos, books, toys, musical instruments, and other artifacts from around the globe, enabling students to immerse themselves in elements of other cultures.

  • Pre-K lessons and craft resources are also available.

  • Many boxes contain curriculum to aid in classroom presentations.

  • On average, more than 6,000 people annually participate in a culture box learning experience.

  • Organizations that typically check out culture boxes include libraries, schools, camps, and scout troops.
